Would Ronald Reagan Vote Like Nancy Pelosi?

Submitted on behalf of candidate Matt Lynch, Congressional candidate for Ohio’s 14th district.

Ronald Reagan was considered an insurgent to the GOP because he was a conservative. He loved God.  He loved Nancy and he loved this country. I am a conservative, a Republican, because of Ronald Reagan. Facts are stubborn things. So nothing pains me more than seeing someone like David Joyce call himself a Reagan Republican yet vote like Nancy Pelosi and vote for Omnibus–A $1.1 trillion dollar gift from David Joyce to the Obama Administration to fund the progressive agenda.

Because of Republicans like David Joyce, we have Obamacare.  Because of Republicans like David Joyce, we are $19 trillion in debt.  Because of Republicans like David Joyce, we are in the mess we are in.

Ronald Reagan wisely said to Trust but Verify.  We have trusted David Joyce, and now we can verify that he voted 20 times with Nancy Pelosi.  We can verify that David Joyce has betrayed the principles upon which he ran to get elected.  We can verify that David Joyce is not a conservative, nor a Reagan Republican.  Reagan wouldn’t vote like Nancy Pelosi.

In a 1975 speech to conservatives, Ronald Reagan said, “Our people look for a cause to believe in. Is it a third party we need, or is it a new and revitalized second party, raising a banner of no pale pastels, but bold colors which make it unmistakably clear where we stand on all of the issues troubling the people?” 41 years later, many of us are asking ourselves this same question because republicans, like David Joyce, have betrayed the conservative principles on which he promised to uphold. It is time for David Joyce to take responsibility for his actions.  It is time we restore and revitalize the GOP and uphold the principles of Reagan with bold colors.  I, Matt Lynch, ask for your vote on Tuesday so that I may raise the banner of conservatism within the halls of congress in order to revitalize our grand old party and defend.
