3 fires at Jewish centers in MA intentionally lit

Three fires — two at a rabbi’s house and one at a nearby Jewish center — were intentionally set, Massachusetts state officials said Friday.

At around 10 p.m on Thursday night, police and firefighters in Needham, Massachusetts, about 20 miles from Boston, responded to reports of a fire at the Chabad Jewish Center. By the time they arrived, the fire on the side of the building had been extinguished by the caller. Police said they were investigating that fire as a possible hate crime.

Trump administration to release some migrants caught along southern border into South Florida

The Trump administration is preparing to release hundreds of asylum-seeking migrants caught along the southern border into Florida’s Broward and Palm Beach counties, with no apparent plan to house, feed or care for them, according to local officials who have been briefed on the plans.

Broward County Mayor Mark Bogen said Thursday that Customs and Border Protection officials told him they would unload about 1,000 migrant families each month, evenly split between the two counties, for an unknown period of time.

ICE to hire contractor to move 225,000 illegal aliens to shelters across the country

The Trump administration is looking to hire a private contractor that will be responsible for transporting approximately 225,000 migrant children and families to shelters across the country over the next five years as they wait for their asylum claims to be processed.

ICE (the federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency) is seeking the services of a “highly responsible” contractor that “fully embraces the philosophy” of treating all unaccompanied minors (UACs) and family units (FAMUs) with “dignity and respect,” according to a federal procurement document dated May 13.

Barr: “Very unusual” for FBI to rely on Steele dossier given “clear mistakes.”

Attorney General William Barr said in an interview that aired Friday that he is investigating what role the Steele dossier played in the Russia probe, and that the salacious document had “a number of clear mistakes.”

A 46-year-old home health worker is now linked to the deaths of 12 elderly women in Dallas, Frisco and Plano.
Billy Chemirmir, 46, has been in custody since March 2018 on a capital murder charge in connection with the smothering death of 81-year-old Lu Thi Harris.
Now he faces new charges in the deaths of 11 other women. Court records show each woman was killed in the same way — smothered by a pillow.
