University of Kentucky Administrators laugh while denying YAF–Young Americans for Freedom

Conservative students who tried to start a Young Americans for Freedom chapter at the University of Kentucky were mocked by their superiors. Not to their faces, of course. But the teachers had a good laugh behind their backs. Newly uncovered emails from the Young America’s Foundation show university administrators questioning YAF’s credentials, laughing about stringing the students along for the better part of a year, and mocking their conservative beliefs.

Prager: Meanwhile, this is what LGBTQ groups are doing to society

Virtually every week, there seems to be another issue that preoccupies the country. But while our attention is focused on President Donald Trump, Google, Charlottesville, Russia, impeachment, Jeffrey Epstein, the next elections, racism, a trade war with China, the #MeToo movement or something else, LGBTQ organizations are quietly going about their work dismantling ethical norms, making a mockery of education, ruining innocent people’s lives and destroying children’s innocence. If you think this is overstated, here are some examples:

Cal State San Bernardino apologizes for promoting border patrol career opportunities, offers counseling

Cal State San Bernardino (CSUSB) apologized to students for promoting employment opportunities with the United States Border Patrol at the school’s career center. In its apology email to students, CSUSB also offered “counseling and psychological services” to help with emotional “distress.”

Video: students sign petition to ban ‘offensive white man cross walk symbol

Campus Correspondent Ethan Cai asked George Washington students if they supported changing “offensive” crosswalk lights because the “walk” sign only portrays an image of a white man.

How far will this movement of diversity and inclusion go? Where will the line be drawn for what is considered offensive?

Illinois governor signs bill required LGBTQ history curriculum for public schools

The Land of Lincoln will require public schools to incorporate LGBTQ figures into history lessons.

Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker on Friday signed House Bill 246, which mandates the following: “In public schools only, the teaching of history shall include a study of the roles and contributions of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people in the history of this country and this State.”

California introduces radical Anti-Semitic high school curriculum

The state of California has introduced “blatantly anti-Semitic and anti-Israel” lessons into its official high school curriculum, drawing outrage and concern in the state’s Jewish and pro-Israel communities, according to multiple sources involved in the controversy.

The California Department of Education is facing backlash after permitting a host of anti-Israel activists to build a statewide educational curriculum that demonizes the Jewish state and is said to be fostering hatred of Jewish and Israeli-American students, sources said.

College Cultural Marxism: ‘He and She’ is now ‘Eirself and Emself’

The campus pronoun wars are by now a familiar meme, but it is still worth reflecting on them simply because of how weird they are. A full culture has sprung up around alternative (i.e. made-up) pronouns:

Individuals who have decided that, contra the facts of nature, they are something other than male or female and have also decided that they must be called something other than “he” or “she.”

New report proves Trump was right to rescind Obama-era school discipline policies

When President Trump rescinded an Obama-era directive pressuring schools to adopt lenient discipline policies, almost every major education advocacy organization united in outrage.

Despite Pulitzer-Prize-winning reporting showing how similarly lenient disciplinary policies allowed the Parkland school shooter to slip through the cracks, the liberal media insinuated that it was absurd for the Trump administration to recommend rescission of Obama-era lenient policies.

And despite study after study showing that these leniency policies hurt some students, advocates insinuated that the Trump administration was oppressing students of color by ending a policy intended to help them.

Gov. Cuomo signs bill to prohibit arming teachers

The New York Times reports Cuomo released a statement on the newly signed prohibition, saying, “The answer to the gun violence epidemic plaguing this country has never been and never will be more guns.”

It should be noted that “more guns” is precisely the approach high profile, elected officials use as they surround themselves with armed good guys to keep themselves safe. Their very actions show a differentiation between good guys with guns and bad guys with guns.

But Cuomo is denying teachers the option of being the good guys who can defend children as a last resort.
