Redistricting for permanent power: The Democrat’s gerrymandering adventures

Mr. Obama and his former Attorney General Eric Holder have been working on redistricting for years. They’ve raised more than $250 million to spend on litigation, data and other related strategies. And we hear that they are aiming to raise $400 million.

In 2018 election, Google’s bias may have shifted 78.2 million votes to one political party

Google has likely been determining the outcomes of upwards of 25 percent of the national elections worldwide since at least 2015. This is because many races are very close and because Google’s persuasive technologies are very powerful.

In the weeks leading up to the 2018 election, bias in Google’s search results may have shifted upwards of 78.2 million votes to the candidates of one political party (spread across hundreds of local and regional races). This number is based on data captured by my 2018 monitoring system, which preserved more than 47,000 election-related searches on Google, Bing, and Yahoo, along with the nearly 400,000 web pages to which the search results linked. Strong political bias toward one party was evident, once again, in Google searches.

Investigators seize enough fentanyl to kill 14 million people in massive drug bust

Law enforcement officers in Virginia have seized enough fentanyl to kill 14 million people, busting a massive three-state drug ring as part of what they called “Operation Cookout.” Thirty-five suspects were arrested, and four others are on the run.

“This opioid crisis is not an issue that is happening someplace else, or to someone else. It’s happening right here in Norfolk,” said G. Zachary Terwilliger, U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia.

Former Canadian Prime Minister Kim Campbell ‘rooting’ for Hurricane Dorian to hit Trump’s Mar-a-Lago

A former Canadian prime minister said she’s “rooting” for Hurricane Dorian to directly hit President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club on Florida’s coast.

Kim Campbell, Canada’s first and only female prime minister, wrote on Twitter Wednesday: “I’m rooting for a direct hit on Mar a Lago!”

Alabama Baptist church displays sign reading: ‘A black vote for Trump is mental illness’

A sign displayed outside a Birmingham, Ala., Baptist church has sparked a local controversy after it displayed a message that compared voting for President Trump to a mental illness.

On one side, bold letters read: “A black vote for Trump is mental illness.” On the other, “A white vote for Trump is pure racism.”

Comey’s classified misconduct and the media’s flawed coverage of it

But from the time Comey wrote it until it was declassified, the entirety of the memo was deemed to be classified under the intelligence community’s rules, even if it did not have the proper markings. “Information assigned a level of classification under this or predecessor orders shall be considered as classified … despite the omission of other required markings,” the executive order governing classification states.

Should Comey have known Memo 2 was classified even if he didn’t mark it so?

Yes, according to the executive order that President Obama signed in 2010, which governed Comey’s actions in 2017. I

Reaction: ‘I wouldn’t say James Comey is out of the woods’; ‘this is just the beginning’

Reaction came swiftly on Thursday, after the Justice Department inspector general released a report saying that former FBI Director James Comey failed to live up to his responsibility to protect sensitive information.

Lindsey Graham wants Barack Obama to testify under oath

Graham specifically named McCabe, Comey, Brennan, and Clapper as people he’d like to ask about whether they informed Obama about the investigation, what they told him, and why no one ever informed Trump about allegations of Russians attempting to infiltrate his campaign, with the senator pointing out that “the whole point of a counterintelligence investigation is to protect people.”

“And yes, I’d like to know what President Obama thought about the investigation,” Graham added.

Sneaky, Leaky James Comey

Of all the tall tales James Comey has told, none compare to the line he fed President Trump at their infamous January 2017 dinner. As recounted in the former Federal Bureau of Investigation director’s memo about that evening, “I said I don’t do sneaky things, I don’t leak, I don’t do weasel moves.”

The Justice Department’s inspector general begs to differ.

James Comey is proof the ‘deep state’ is something to fear

For nearly three years now, those who promise to save us from the wicked clutches of President Donald Trump have bombarded America with lectures about the “rule of law.” Yet, over and over again, these self-styled champions of justice feel free to disregard the law whenever it suits them. The latest example is former FBI Director James Comey.

A new report by the Office of the Inspector General for the Justice Department found that Comey had written FBI memos, illicitly passed them on to a lawyer friend, who in turn leaked them to a friendly New York Times reporter who had been spreading the Russian conspiracy theory.

Why? Because Comey was interested in extracting revenge on the man who had fired him, Donald Trump.

Comey, the report found, had leaked “investigative information, obtained during the course of FBI employment, in order to achieve a personally desired outcome.”
